Haddon Heights' roots as a railroad destination are highlighted by a well-restored station house near the train crossing at Station Avenue.

Welcomes you to Haddon
Heights
Population: 14,651
Haddon Heights was given its name in 1890 because of its proximity to Haddonfield
and its high elevation. Like Haddonfield, Haddon Heights also features some
very highly-esteemed historic streets and main street of its own. Victorian,
Princess Anne, Four Squares, and Colonial Revival style houses are numerous; there
are also cozy sections of smaller, postwar single family homes with an enviable short
walk to the town's sprawling park and recreational areas. The town is home to a multitude of community groups, organizations, and recreational leagues. There is also a nonprofit, private swim
club in Haddon Heights. The Camden County park program maintains an impressive natural-setting open-air amphitheatre, "The Dell", that features a diverse lineup of live musical performances throughout the summer season. A caring, active community and organized local business alliance sees to it that their broad main street, Station Avenue, stays well-groomed and attracts a balanced lineup of quality businesses. It is frequented and enjoyed by residents and visitors alike.
Those needing frequent access to I-295 enjoy the convenience of exits to and from the highway. Like all of our featured neighborhoods, many residents choose to live here and work in Philadelphia. Four PATCO stations with ample parking are within a short drive from this town.
